Development strategy of the LPC of Russia

In mid-August, a discussion of the development strategy of the LPC of Russia took place. Among the participants of the meeting were representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, as well as authorities and leading companies of the country's forest regions. The main attention was focused on the economic component – on the management of the forest sector of the economy and the increase in gross product.

Rosleskhoz also acted as a co-executor in the development and adjustment of the strategy. According to the general opinion, the project requires improvements in terms of forestry, the role of which is reduced to raw materials and does not pay appropriate attention to the importance of the forest.

The document should also take into account state support in the form of investments for the development of infrastructure that contributes to job creation, the development of Russian technologies in the field of LPC and the expansion of the biofuel market.
