Winter Grain Conference At the end of February, the XI Winter Grain Conference, the largest specialized forum held annually outside the Urals, started in Belokurikha.

The program of the event was divided into 2 parts, the first of which was devoted to macroeconomics and state support of the agricultural sector, and the second to the consumption of grain products in the country.

Among the speeches, it is worth noting the report of the first deputy chairman of the government of the Altai Territory, Alexander Lukyanov, where he said that Russia was among the world leaders in terms of grain supplies, and the Altai Territory collected almost half of the entire buckwheat harvest.

The topic of state support was supported by Dmitry Fedyushin, Deputy Director of the Department of Economics, Investments and Regulation of Agricultural Markets of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. He said that over 17 years, the gross grain harvest has increased by 2 times and by the end of 2017 amounted to 134 million tons.

According to the results of the Grain Conference, it can be concluded that today's Russia has excellent export potential and fully meets its domestic needs, and the measures planned for 2018 to support agriculture will help bring the agricultural sector to an even higher level in the country.
