Find solutions, despite the difficulties! From CAR TO Railway — ADVANTAGES When transporting timber by road, large costs are required, which is why it is necessary to raise prices for wood. As a result, it is possible to refuse to buy or unnecessary conflicts — who needs difficulties in business?

One of the exits is the transportation of timber by rail. And although industry experts note a shortage of rolling stock and logging platforms, the share of rail transport in the volume of roundwood transportation has been increasing in recent years. According to the data of the United Wagon Company, the loading of forest cargo in January 2018 increased by 6% compared to the previous year and amounted to 3.6 million tons.

This is due to the fact that transportation by rail has a number of advantages over motor transport, especially with large volumes. Railway stations are equipped with professional high-performance loading equipment, which reduces labor intensity and risks during loading and unloading operations. As well as timber platforms have a high capacity and are suitable for transporting any transported long-length lumber. Transportation of timber by rail is the ratio of price, quality and speed of cargo transportation.   In many ways, the success of railway transportation is due to the fact that transport companies are serious about solving customer problems. One of these is Ecoline LLC, a professional participant in the rail transportation market in Russia, China, Finland, CIS and Baltic countries. For 6 years, the company has been developing, teaming up with partners and reaching new heights.

At the moment, the company manages more than 5,000 modern timber and grain carriers, the average age of which does not exceed 6 years. Ecoline works with the largest exporters of goods and offers a full range of services for the transportation of timber and grain in its own specialized wagons throughout the 1520 gauge.

The main goal of the company for 2019-2020. — an increase in the volume of transported goods to 5 million tons per year due to the intensive expansion of the customer base, qualitative improvement of transportation logistics and an increase in the fleet in the company's management.

THE PATH TO SUCCESS

In the summer of 2018, Ecoline, which already had more than 2,000 timber wagons in its fleet, acquired a share of the Management Company in Levana LLC, one of the largest exporters of timber and lumber in East Asia.   Now LLC "Levana" is the only company in the Ural—Siberian region that has in its constituent structure a federal-scale operator carrier specializing in the transportation of timber with a wide geography of activities.

As a result, 49% of the assets transferred to the operator of the Ecoline logging platforms served as the basis for the creation of the first full-cycle organization specializing in loading, transportation, declaration and registration and sale of timber to China. Summing up the results of 2018, thanks to this merger, there was a significant increase in the volume of shipments — by 15% compared to 2017.

DO NOT STOP THERE    LLC "CHKT" — a subsidiary of LLC "Ecoline" together with LLC "Levana" built a container terminal in the north-eastern part of the Krasnoyarsk Territory — the village of Oktyabrsky (Chunoyar station).

In the fall of 2019, the terminal will be officially launched. Its area is 3 hectares, the total length of the railway tracks is 860 meters, which makes it possible to form a full container train. A team of professionals will provide the best service for the company's customers. LLC "CHKT" plans to export 4 container trains weekly, having established a regular schedule. Thereby reaching the dispatch of thousands of 40-foot containers monthly, which is equivalent to about 24,000 TEU/year.

The Krasnoyarsk Territory is an extremely important transport hub that has long required investment and development. The demand for high-quality terminal services is great, and CHKT LLC will develop in this direction together with its partners.
